Cultus Lake Cottage
After creating a distinctive family home design for them, a client approached us mid- 2007 again requesting the services of CHPA, but this time in the design of their dream cottage on the waters edge at Cultus Lake, BC.
An early concept design using conventional 2D drafting practices provided a glimpse of what was to come, with floor plans, elevations and sections drawn in AutoCAD. It was soon apparent, however, the detail and depth of 3D computer modeling would be well-deserved to help envision concepts in final form.
Collaboration with the client was enhanced by attention to detail, design, and desire to be involved with the design process as a team. This in-depth exchange of ideas led to a continuously evolving concept where step by step each piece of the puzzle was locked in place to create a final design that surpassed the original expectations, taking advantage of the natural habitat to create a dream come true.
