Health Care Facilities
Over the years, CHPA has gained a varied expertise in the area of Health Care Facilities.
Working closely with the Fraser Health Authority [FHA] at all levels, including Upper Management, Chief Administrators, Infection Control personnel and Plant Facilities Managers, CHPA has completed projects as diverse as Morgues, Eye Surgery facilities, Emergency Rooms and Care Homes.
Also, working in collaboration with a Firm of Structural Engineers who were the prime Consultant for a major seismic upgrade to the Chilliwack General Hospital, CHPA provided Architectural services to ensure that the planning needs and requirements of the Hospital were incorporated into the project design.
Recently completed projects for the Fraser Health Authority include the highly acclaimed Topaz Place 12-bed Facility in Chilliwack, serving the needs for those suffering from dementia, and a 20-bed Sub-Acute ward at the Chilliwack General Hospital. This latter project, scheduled for occupancy in 2007, presented the challenge of completing an existing vacant floor area on the fifth floor of the existing Hospital and making it into an additional sub-acute ward to serve the needs of the growing community.
