Vedder Road Plaza
Set on 2.7 acres of land formerly occupied by Pacific Coast Van and RV and vacant land on Vedder Road adjacent to Knight Road in Sardis, the Vedder Plaza development will become the commercial and residential core for this area.
Street trees and landscaping along Vedder Road will extend into the surface parking adjacent to the 10,400 sq.ft. retail main floor with a future additional 12,700 sq.ft. stand alone Commercial Building. Covered, colonnaded walkways encircle this space for the benefit of passersby, shoppers and residents. Carefully detailed stone columns and glass storefronts will help to develop a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing shopping experience.
At the centre of the complex is the Grand Entry to the residences of Vedder Plaza. A Landscaped Courtyard will provide an inviting atmosphere for the residents.
Three floors of 24 residences and one floor of 13 residences will see the development of 85 condominiums for the upper end of the Chilliwack housing market supplemented by residents’ only underground parking.
Interior spaces provided will include 2 elevators, residents’ amenity area and spacious one and two bedroom plus den units with fireplaces, lounge space, air conditioning and deck space for each unit.
The building exterior is intended to be viewed as a singular, uplifting experience. The pitch of the roofs angles up to consider the incredible views from the Valley floor to the surrounding mountains. Durable, exterior materials have been applied to a carefully modulated building to break down the overall mass of the structure into smaller, colourful components. Every effort is being made to create a credible centerpiece for the Vedder Road corridor.
