Southgate Shopping Center on Yale Road, in Chilliwack, represented a tired 1970’s generation retail strip mall which featured month to month tenants and increasing vacancies. CHPA were engaged by the owners, Bucci Developments, to provide solutions for exterior upgrade of both the buildings and the site. The retail center now boasts full occupancy and has been successful in retaining and expanding Shopper’s Drug Mart as their anchor tenant. The final design solution provided upgraded fire safety, improved parking lot circulation and pedestrian safety as well as a contemporary retail center exterior that will serve the owners well into the future.
