Tilt Up Panels are erected at Abbotsford Collegiate School!
The time has come for the new school to take shape, and this happens quickly. Over the last 3 months the concrete crews have formed and cast over 70 concrete panels, some weighing almost 200,000 lbs. In the past three days they have erected all the major concrete tilt up panels using one of the largest hydraulic cranes in British Columbia. The crane itself weighs almost 400,000 lbs and has 16 massive traction wheels. Play the video below to watch the erection of panels 14 and 15.
